soooooooooooo i started a new blog focused on my journey into the world of photography. check it out here. never fear i will still be blogging here as well :o)

AHHHHH i'm melting, melting.....

a little nod to the kids favorite movie (The Wizard of Oz- or as Cameron calls it, "Woz").

i picked the snowiest part of our yard and last Wednesday i took the first picture and today i took the 2nd one. lots of melting in just one week but don't you worry we're suppose to get another foot tomorrow! this winter has been unbelievable! i plan to continue with this picture taking until it's gone... which at this rate might be June.

if you know me you probably think these pictures make me gag... and they do... but i'm trying to let Mayden be Mayden and if that involves wings so be it. and truthfully i think she looks beautiful (wings or no wings)!

3 months already

i've been stealing my niece to practice my photographing skills :o) we had a little photo shoot Sunday and i think they really turned out great! you can see even more here.

bad jokes

to laugh or not to laugh.... that is the question!

Mayden is in this stage where she makes up jokes and then expects you to think they are as funny as she thinks they are. 9 times out of 10 they are not only not funny, they don't make any sense. i'm torn between not lying to her about her comedic ability and not destroying her self confidence.

sledding!

in the last week we've been hammered with 2 snow storms leaving behind about 3 feet of snow... and that means lots of great sledding!

thankfully my parents live right next to a great sledding hill. it's been so much fun taking the kids this week. here are a few videos of Mayden (as requested by Grandmom... i guess i've been Camo heavy lately) hitting the slopes! she's done so great sledding by herself and then climbing back up this pretty big hill. Cameron on the other hand will go down on my lap a few times but would much rather play on the snow clad playground next to the hill. maybe next year :o)

excuse the line in the videos... my camera was freezing up on me a leaving a part closed... grrrr

this next one ends with her only spill but rest assured, she's perfectly fine!
