why we keep our sons alive...

I don't know if it's all sons or just mine but multiple times a day since around age 18 months he's made me want to ring his little neck.  he's always on the go, always into something, always a challenge... and when he's quiet you'd better find him fast because he's up to no good! Cam has a bit of a temper and hitting has become part of his repertoire so he's been spending a good part of his day in time-out.

recently however, he's been bringing me flowers and saying "you beeful" as he hands them to me. just enough to melt my heart and save his life for one more day of chaos.

Cam: "Mama, smell my mouth"
Me: *sniffs* "what did you eat?"
Cam: "my boogers"

nice.

after a bath Cam asks what his scrotum is and i tell him it's name
overhearing the conversation May asks "what's the worm part called?"

i tried so hard not to laugh at this one but just couldn't do it... LOL!

kids say the darnedest things!

the other night Chris and I were playing a "whisper down the lane" type game with May and it went like this...


Chris to Mayden: "put me to bed now, woman"
Mayden to me: "poop on the bed now, woman"


it took Chris a few seconds to realize she had said it out loud to me wrong so i was very confused!

in other curse word news Mayden said the "F word" a few weeks ago.... her very first one! i was home alone putting her to bed and I guess I was rushing the process. I turned on her music that she always has on when going to sleep and walked out of the room. she comes stomping into the kitchen where I was and yelled "it's to fu*king loud" at me. I think she had to pick my jaw up off the ground before we went any further with our conversation. I'll never forget that!

Cameron has a strict no kissing Camo rule in effect and it's driving me crazy. each and every time i kiss him (it's a pretty hard habit to break after 3+ years of kissing that face) he yells at me a wipes it off. sad. this rule does not just apply to me but everyone so consider this your fare warning! i'm hoping this faze leaves us soon... i need my Camo love!

Cameron's use of the English language has been improving every week. he's starting to say things that make me laugh. for example, this morning i asked him if he was ready to go watch May's soccer game and he said

"i did, it's enough"

i guess the boy is sick of going to watch May play soccer!

another favorite thing he does right now is use the words "ever" and "never" ooooooh man when he gets mad he goes on these rants that i don't even fully understand but the words NEVER and EVER stand out big time.

blah blah blah NEVER, NEVER do that blah blah blah

or

blah blah blah EEEEEEEVER blah blah blah

i guess you have to hear it to get the full effect. trust me, it's funny.

with Cameron very quickly becoming efficent in the English language there are a few things i don't want to forget.

Cameron loves to add an N to the end of lots of words like:
hungen (hungry)
watern (water)
dinosaurn (dinosaur)
tee-veen (tv)

we're pretty sure the German side won out in the gene war with this one.

he also says "go away" & "stop talkin' me" about 3,000 times a day. sweet child. although he does make up for it when he says "hi Mama, you're cute" and "i really need you" but he mostly says he "really needs me" when it's bed time and he doesn't want me to leave the room. i'll take it!

Cameron says

after explaning to Cam that he needed to take a bath tonight because his toes were so very dirty he agreed to the bath

after the bath he looks at his toes and says "my dirtys' gone!"

Cameron is so very enthusiastic about loud "manly" things like lawn mowers, weed wackers, power tools & trucks. Cameron still take a nap everyday, something Mayden gave up soon after turning 2. Cameron loves to eat oatmeal & quiche and is always hungen!

Can you believe it, Cameron is two today!?! here's a little slideshow of Cameron's 2nd year, in chronological order

Cameron says

a few new words:

book - said very clearly

peebis - penis

stuck - he uses this word perfectly... like when he's stuck

truck - his word for ALL motor vehicles

fu@k - i think this might just be a slip when trying to say 'stuck' or 'truck' BUT he says it alllll the time and it's a little embarrassing (especially in church)

gook (pronounced like book, but with a G) - this is the new buzz word. everything is gook. i'm not sure what it is but i'm pretty sure if you're labeled 'gook' it's not a good thing!

I need a section called 'Cameron does'.... yes that's a wall...
