i've been putting my sewing machine to good use recently. i used this free pattern and made a pair of cloth baby shoes for Jaedyn as an Easter gift. they are a challenge to make but i'm so proud of myself and over all they don't take a super long time to make. sooooooooooooooo i started making more and more (i'm a tad addicted) and decided it was a good idea to put them up in my etsy.com shop. you should check 'em it sometime....

sooooo tonight at dinner Cameron had a little photo shoot with Mayden. it started off well, but things got a little... shall i say... interesting in the end. oh kids!

i love this picture of him although i think he looks much to grown up!

starting the garden

i'm still unsure about what i'm planting this year. i should probably start figuring that out soon though. i know something will go in there so with this weeks nice weather we started by turning the soil.

from early on i've had "help" turning the garden in March.

this year it actually felt a lot more like help! Cameron is very into it, and really has been each summer. i think he's going to be like his Pop-pop Eckman ... gardener extraordinar!

i never wanted to be a soccer mom....

but it looks like i might need to be. it seems that Mayden has somehow inherited her Aunt Nica's athletic ability (she sure didn't get it from Chris or I). this nice weather has been bringing out the soccer star in her so i suppose i'll be looking for a local team for her soon.

after a rousing game (she beat me 6-5, but i was easy on her) <--don't roll your eyes, I WAS! we stopped to take some "soccer pictures"
