#99 Visit a Splash Pad or Sprayground

(a few weeks ago) We went to a Sprayground with our friends Rose & Hazel and Cassie & Simon. It is in south Philly and a much better idea then a public pool! Wet and free on a hot summer day is good!

these suckers sure do take off once they get going! i can't believe the progress in just one week.

Pumpkin (week 1)

after months and months of waiting we are finally seeing the start of a pumpkin! Cameron planted these seeds himself and has been watching them in amazement as they stretch across our lawn (and our neighbors lawn -oops!)  I had almost given up hope but I do believe we're going to have a pumpkin (or two) this year!

Mayden + Summer = tan!

this is Mayden on Aug 1st with sunblock applied everyday. everyday! the girl tans up like nobody's business  you should see her tan lines.... amazing! ever since her second summer (the first one i kept her out of the sun almost entirely, she was so itty bitty) she's been a pro at tanning! some people have it all. 

one thing is for sure.... i'm in trouble!

i imagine he won't always be blond. I was blond as a small child, same as my dad & sister... but for now i'm loving the golden surfer boy look. I like how it's the lightest on the sides. adorable, if i do say so myself!

About 10 minutes after I tuck Mayden into bed she runs up to me and says very excitedly 

"I CAN TOUCH MY EYE BALL!!"  

one morning at the breakfast table Mayden goes into this very detailed description about a dream she had the night before. she does this very often and sometimes can describe 2-3 dreams she had in one night. sometimes it can take her 10-15 minutes to get through one dream. when she was finished she asked Cameron if he had any dreams last night. his response.: "Umm hmm, *long pause* ...oh!  i dreamed about hummus!"
