this morning the kids and I went on a hunt for cicada shells. this time of year you know it's going to be a hot one when you hear the buzzing of the cicada. we've been hearing them a lot these last few days so we looked at each of our trees and found 3 shells. we'll check for more in a few days.

oooh yikes. i know they're "beautiful" and interesting but they're big. real big.
yuck. I had a June Bug chase me once right after I was told they wouldn't do that.
